Mrs. Amanda DeRight

Mrs. DeRight has been the proud assistant pricipal at Central Avenue since January of 2020. She has been with the School District of Osceola County since 2005. Most recently Mrs. DeRight was a district Curriculum Resource Teacher with a specialization in mathematics. She also worked at Kissimmee Elementary School as a teacher and Instructional Coach.

Mrs. DeRight grew up in Western Pennsylvania and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Slippery Rock University. She then went on to complete a Masters in Elementary Reading and Math from Walden University. She also completed her Masters in Educational Leadership through the American College of Education.

When not at school, Mrs. DeRight stays busy with her family of 7, mostly with her children’s sports. 

Mrs. DeRight is honored to have the privilege of serving the community, staff, and students of Central Avenue Elementary.
